Unpar Received The Icsb Indonesia President Award 2016 In Research

The International Council for Small Business (ICSB) Indonesia presented the “ICSB Indonesia Presidential Award 2016” to Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar) for being an academic pillar especially in terms of research on Tuesday (13/09). This ICSB award was awarded on the basis of Unpar’s commitment and dedication in supporting Usaha Kecil dan Menengah/Small and Medium Enterprises in Indonesia (UKM). The award was presented during the opening gala dinner of the 4th Asian SME Conference 2016 and was accepted directly by the Rector of Unpar, Mangadar Situmorang in front of Menteri Koperasi dan UKM Republik Indonesia/the Minister of Cooperation and SME of the Republic of Indonesia, A.A.G.N. Puspayoga as well as 700 conference participants from Indonesia and 100 others from 16 countries.

ICSB itself is a non-profit international organization established in 1995 whose purpose is the support the growth and development of small and medium enterprises all over the world which in turn can make a positive socio-economic impact on a country. This organization possesses 70 chapters in various countries, including ICSB Indonesia as one of the newly formed affiliates established in 2015.

ICSB brings academicians, researchers, policy makers and practitioners from across the globes who act as the 4 main pillars to share each of their experience and knowledge in their respective field. One of the lecturers of Industrial Engineering Study Program at Unpar, Catharina Badra Nawangpalupi, currently serves as one of ICSB Indonesia trustees.

ICSB Global in July 2016 appointed Indonesia as the host country of the 4th Asian SME Conference 2016 that serves as the Asian level SME conference conducted from September 13-17 2016 at the Kasablanka, Kasablanka City Mall, Jakarta by the Asian Council for Small Business (ACSB) and supported by the Ministry of Cooperation and SME of the Republic of Indonesia.

By choosing the theme “Small Business or Start Up: Entrepreneurship, Productivity, Creativity”, the event consisted of a series of interesting activities such as Industrial Visit, Research presentation in SME, Youth Entrepreneurship  Camp, ACSB 2016 Awards, ACSB Dean Council, ACSB Academic Conference, Talk show, The 2nd ASEAN Marketing Summit, Asian SME Awards 2016, and Bandung Cultural Night as well as the Wonderful Indonesian Field Trip to Bandung that was presented by the Mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil.
