Warta HIMAHI / HIMAHI News, (familiarly called WH), one of the student magazines at Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar), has retained its achievement. On Friday (3/2), WH received a Bronze Award in the Indonesia Print Media Students Awards (ISPRIMA) event. In the event organized by the Serikat Perusahaan Pers / Press Company Union (SPS) Indonesia, WH won the award in the category of Best of Java Magazine.
HIMAHI News is one of the Internal Organizations within the International Relations Study Program’s Student Association (HMPSIHI) Unpar, which focuses on media and journalism. WH has several programs, one of which is the WH edition, the magazine published quarterly.
This year, WH received a Bronze Award for WH November 2016 Edition, with the theme “Millennial Subculture”. This achievement mimicked WH’s previous achievement, which also received the Bronze Award for WH Edition November 2015, “Gastro diplomacy”, last year in the same event.
When met on a separate occasion, the Editor-in-Chief of WH, Farhan Yunas, said he’s happy with the accomplishments achieved by WH during these past two years. “(I am) Proud because we were a minority. Of the 15 nominees, we were the only one from International Relations”. According to him, the main key during the past two years achievements was the power of WH own organization. “The key is the solidity of WH’s own internal strength.” The ability of WH to improve the quality, he added, is also an important factor.
“We hope to keep on working,” said Farhan, when asked about his expectations for WH in the future. Through work, he added, there will be many innovations, one of which is in the form of new ideas. In addition, the WH is expected to remain vigilant in the face of public demand, especially Unparians.
