Student of the Civil Engineering Study Program of Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar) achieved a number of achievements at the Civil National Expo 2018 organized by Tarumanagara University. The achievement was achieved by three teams of Unpar’s Civil Engineering, namely: the Pacivic Clover Team, Pacivic VMA Team, and Rajawali Parahyangan Perkasa Team.
In the final round which took place on May 4-5, the Pacivic Clover Team, consistsing Angelina Prisilia Pradana, Rocky Mountainshia and Soni Satria Gunawan, won 1st place in the 22nd National Concrete Competition. The Pacivic VMA team, namely Kevin Martandi Setianto, Angela Florencea Nirwanto, and Ignatius Alvin Yo won 2nd Place of the Competition Analysis of Foundation. Then, the Project Cost Estimation’s 2nd prize was awarded to Team Rajawali Parahyangan Perkasa which consists of Melisa Christina, Gabriella Laurencia Liman, and Fernando Oscar Hayrera.
The Civil National Expo is divided into four categories of contest: The 22nd National Beton Competition, Project Cost Estimation Competition, Foundation Analysis Competition, and Transportation Analysis Contest.
The National Concrete Competition was held to test the accuracy of concrete compressive strength planning made by participants. Participants are required to create a creative concrete mix in accordance with the theme of the contest ” Ultra High Performance Concrete With Fiber “. Assessment in this race is done through one type of assessment system that is compressive test.
Through the Project Cost Estimate Competition, participants are expected to become new seeds as an estimator. The analysis can be made through literature study, direct field experiments, case studies, and other means. From the results of the analysis, participants can determine the lowest price to work on a project.
Then, participants who follow the Foundation Analysis Contest analyze the lateral forces acting on the pile foundation with the data provided by the committee. Assessment is reviewed from the efficiency, approaches and methods undertaken by the competitor.
In the Transportation Analysis Contest the participants analyzed the public transportation system in Indonesia with the data provided by the committee. Assessment is reviewed from the approaches and methods undertaken by the competitors.
